1957 — moved to Brisbane
1970-72 began writing stories and editing magazines
1973 — started a novel Manacles (published in 1985)
1974 — one year at University in Townsville
1976 — Young Writer's Fellowship (Australia Council Grant)
1978-1981 — published journalism, fiction and some slim volumes
1981 — Post Graduate Diploma (Alexander Mackie CAE)
1982-83 — Europe (London, Paris, Vienna)
1985 -1986 — employed by Government of Victoria as writer, editor, film-maker
1987 — became Director of ToadShow
1999, 2000 — tutored in New Communication Technologies at Griffith University
2000 — lectured Contemporary Issues in Technology and Design at Queensland University of Technology.
2001 — Managed design and construction of many community and arts web sites including Brisbane Stories, Quandamooka, Wynnum-Manly and Brisbane Powerhouse.
2002 — started looking after the local creek and learning plant names
2004 — developed Toadal Control, a content managment system for web sites
2005 — 50th Birthday in the local park, toured the creek restoration
2010 — became an honorary researcher in arachnology at Queensland Museum
2013-15 — participated as photographer and arachnologist with Bush Blitz expeditions. Australia's Bush Blitz species discovery program is jointly funded by the Australian Government and BHP Billiton Sustainable Communities.
2015 — 60th Birthday in the local park, toured the creek restoration
