The Dead All Have The Same Skin (Les morts ont tous la meme peau) coming in April from Tam Tam Books

TamTam Books is proud to announce the publication of Vernon Sullivan's (Boris Vian's) masterpiece of noir-gone berserk – "The Dead All Have The Same Skin" (Les morts ont tous la meme peau).

Written one year after the controversial "I Spit on Your Graves," you think Vian would have known better. But no, he decided to do another violent shocker. This surreal masterpiece of 'dark' writing is about Daniel Parker who is a bouncer in a hell bar hole somewhere in New York City. Parker is being blackmailed by his long lost brother and threatens him to tell the truth about their negro blood. Parker is not going to take that. His life, by that admission, becomes a tipsy topsey one-way ticket to hell.

The volume also includes a short story by Vian "Dogs, Desire, and Death" — an erotic tale of a bad girl, a helpless cab driver, and the need for destruction and sexual release. Also included is Vian's essay on "I Spit on Your Graves". The book has a thoughtful and informative introduction by Marc Lapprand.

"Vian pulps noir by running it through the blender of his rancid post-avant-garde imagination. This book is a brilliant, brutal, page-turner, and every bit as nasty as the most depraved prose of the Marquis de Sade or Jim Thompson; simultaneously, it is one of the most intelligent novels dealing with race and racism in the United States penned by a white European writer." — Stewart Home.

"The Dead All Have The Same Skin" translated from the French by Paul Knobloch, design by Tom Recchion will be released April 2008. ISBN 978-0-9662346-5-7
